Benedikt Sixt: An interview about development, team spirit, and the future
What brought you to Hoffmann Propeller, and what is your current position?
My father, who worked at Hoffmann Propeller for many years, told me about the company. I started doing regular vacation jobs at Hoffmann while I was still in school, around 2015, and developed an interest in aviation early on.
In 2018, I began training as an industrial clerk, which I successfully completed at Hoffmann Propeller in 2020.
Since then, I have been working as an assistant to the management. My responsibilities currently include HR, preparatory accounting, and many cross-functional organizational tasks.
Aviation continues to inspire me to this day – for me, this industry is unique and unlike any other.
How would you describe the development of Hoffmann Propeller?
Since joining the company in 2018, I have witnessed many developments at Hoffmann Propeller – both challenging and very formative. But a lot has happened in recent years in particular: the company faced major challenges, but at the same time initiated and implemented important changes.
The company has enormous potential, not least through decades of experience, technical expertise, and strong customer loyalty. This year we are celebrating our 70th anniversary – that speaks for a remarkable tradition.
With the takeover at the end of 2024 and the support of Rosen Swiss Holding AG, a noticeable new dynamic has emerged. Even though we are all aware that there is still a lot of work ahead of us, there is a positive spirit of optimism. The team has grown closer together and the overall situation has stabilized significantly. Now it is important to consolidate this course and set the course for the long term.
How are employees perceiving the developments?
The mood within the team is consistently positive. Many colleagues – myself included – see real opportunities and new prospects in the current phase. The support provided by Rosen Swiss Holding AG is strengthening our confidence in the future.
The increased team spirit – both on a personal and professional level – is particularly noteworthy. It is clear that we are all pulling in the same direction again.
Long-awaited changes are now also being actively addressed. This not only creates clarity, but also motivation – because it shows that we are really moving forward. The willingness to take on responsibility and actively shape change is evident throughout the entire team.
What are the next steps for the company?
We are currently in a transition phase, in which stability and order are the main priorities. The goal is to tap into new markets, develop innovative products, and win new customers.
In the long term, the aim is to position the company strategically and future-oriented – with a strong focus on innovation, customer proximity, and sustainable growth.
I am excited about the developments ahead and look forward to being part of this team.
